E-Line MBR-SS

Membrane Roof Solar Mounting Systems

E-Line MBR-SS is designed as an additional "Mounting Kit" to secure solar panels to roofs covered with single-ply thermoplastic roofing membrane (such as TPO and PVC) using ballasted or non-ballasted mounting systems.

The E-Line MBR-SS Mounting Kits provide a secure connection directly to the roof structure or structural elements, thus taking the wind load off the membrane roofing and transferring it to the corresponding structural components where it belongs.

Features and Benefits

  • Properly utilized and installed, E-Line MBR-SS Mounting Kits ensure a secure connection to the structural elements of the roof, thereby contributing to the continuity of the existing waterproof structure.
  • When utilized and installed correctly, the E-Line MBR-SS Mounting Kits take the wind load off the membrane covering and transfer it to the structural elements of the roof.
  • It helps protect the thermoplastic single-ply (such as TPO and PVC) roofing membrane from damages caused by movements in the ballasted panel support mounting system.
  • Its straightforward and rapid installation results in savings in application time and labor, thereby enhancing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Seamlessly joining a broad sheet of membrane, identical in brand and type to the current roofing membrane, becomes effortless by subjecting it to precise heat treatment at an optimal temperature using equipment perfectly suited to the roofing membrane being applied.
  • It is compatible with nearly all TPO and PVC membranes.
  • The 180 mm diameter stainless steel disc element enhances its mechanical strength through its convex structure.
  • The M10x75 rod and M10 AKB Flanged Nut used in E-Line MBR-SS Mounting Kits are manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel.
Step 1
Mark the areas where the E-Line MBR-SS mounting kits will be applied. Ensure that the surface to be applied is completely free from dirt and foreign materials.
Step 2
Secure the E-Line MBR-SS mounting kits as specified in the project and in accordance with the structural design. Take care during installation to avoid damaging or wrinkling the membrane sheet located on the E-Line MBR-SS mounting kit.
Step 3
Ensure the membrane sheets on the E-Line MBR-SS mounting kits adhere to the roof using heat treatment and appropriate equipment in accordance with the specifications provided by the membrane manufacturer.
Step 4
Finish the installation of the E-Line MBR-SS mounting, and proceed to follow the same steps in the subsequent product installations.

What Is a TPO Membrane?

TPO membrane stands for Thermoplastic Polyolefin membrane. It is a type of single-ply roofing material widely used in the roofing industry.

TPO membranes are similar to PVC membranes but are more environmentally friendly and contain fewer toxic chemicals. They also stand out for their high temperature resistance and excellent UV resistance. These features make them an ideal roofing material used in hot and sunny climates.

Moreover, TPO membranes can be easily joined together through heat welding of seams, ensuring a seamless installation to prevent water leakage on the roof surface. Due to these characteristics, TPO membranes are a popular choice for commercial and industrial roofing applications.

What is a Ballasted Mounting Structure?

A ballasted solar mounting system is a system used to mount solar panels onto a roof or ground. Instead of screws or other fastening methods to secure the panels to the roof or ground, weights are used in this system. These weights enable solar panels to withstand wind, snow, or other weather conditions.

Ballasted solar mounting systems can typically be installed without penetrating the roof or ground structure, allowing for solar energy production without damaging the structure. These systems can be designed to accommodate various roof types and ground conditions.

Additionally, ballasted solar mounting systems often offer advantages such as easy installation, quick assembly, and disassembly procedures. Therefore, these systems are generally ideal for applications like mobile solar power units, temporary structures, among others.
